Easy Reels MCP · New in Ultra

Edit your videos from the AI you already use

Easy Reels is an MCP server. Plug it into Claude, ChatGPT or any app that supports MCP, describe the video, and get a finished MP4 back. The AI writes the edit. Easy Reels renders it with the same fonts and filters you use in the app.

Use the clips from Saturday's opening and the two photos of the menu. Make a 30-second vertical reel: the ribbon cutting first, the busiest moments after, menu photos at the end. Upbeat, warm colours, our logo top right, and "Open every day from 8" on the last shot.

I looked through the clips first and found the ribbon cutting at 0:42 in the second video. The cut opens on it, then the counter and the full room, with the menu photos easing in at the end. Warm grade, logo in the corner, your line on the closing shot. Rendering now.

Easy Reels MCP turns the AI you already use into your video editor. It is an MCP server: one address, no API key, and it works in Claude, ChatGPT and any other app that supports the protocol. You describe the video in the chat, the AI decides how it is cut and how it looks, and Easy Reels renders it as a 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9 MP4 of up to 3 minutes. It needs no template and no beat grid, and it is included in the Ultra plan.

How it works

Connect. Describe. Watch it come back edited.

You stay in the chat you already have open. Nothing to install, no timeline to learn.

  1. Connect it once

Add https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp in your app, sign in to Easy Reels and choose Allow. Takes a minute; the steps are below.

  2. Say what the video is for

Who it is for, how long, which shots matter, the mood, the words on screen. Plain language, the way you would brief an editor.

  3. The AI writes the edit

It looks through your footage, picks the moments and puts them in order, then adds transitions, text and a look from your fonts and filters. No template and no beat grid.

  4. Easy Reels renders it

The edit becomes an MP4, saved in My Generations and on the MCP page in the app. Ask for changes and it renders again.

What the AI can do with your footage

A free-form edit, every time

Templates are great when the next video looks like the last one. This is for the video that does not: a recap, a launch, a client cut, a story told in a different order.

  • Any of four shapes

9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, chosen per video, up to 3 minutes long.

  • Trims and speed

The exact part of each clip, slowed down or sped up from a quarter to four times.

  • Transitions

Hard cuts, fades, dissolves, wipes, slides, zooms and more, per scene.

  • Photos that move

A slow zoom or pan on a still, so a photo holds its place in a video.

  • Sound your way

The clips' own audio, a music track, both mixed, or no sound at all. Loudness is evened out.

  • Your text

Titles and captions in the same 100+ fonts as the app, with your uploaded fonts on Ultra.

  • Your look

The app's filters and LUTs, your own LUTs and your saved colour adjustments.

  • Logos and overlays

A logo or a photo placed on top, for as long as you want it there.

Your templates, from the chat

Or let it run the templates you already have

For the video you post every day, the AI works with your saved Easy Reels templates instead of editing from scratch. Same templates, same results as the Generate button in the app.

  • Generate on demand

One reel, carousel or single image from a template, drawn exactly like the Generate button does.

  • Batches

Up to 50 at a time into a new folder in My Generations. It asks before it starts.

  • Copy in bulk

Paste a list of hooks or slides and it fills the template's copy, field by field.

  • Edit the recipe

Add a text or a logo, change the filter, the fonts, the audio or the cuts.

  • New templates

Build a reel, carousel or single image template from a description, then refine it in the app.

  • Nothing lost

It asks before deleting a template or removing copy, and every change opens in the app's editor.

Long videos

It finds the part you meant

Ask for "the bit where she explains the pricing" and the AI looks before it cuts. It reads frames from the video, each marked with its time, and a transcript of what is said with timestamps. Then it trims to that moment instead of guessing. When word timings are available it can start a cut on the first word of a sentence and end it on the last.

Your footage

Your library, your rules

Everything in your Easy Reels workspace is available to it, so upload the clips in the app and they are ready a few seconds later. In Claude.ai and Claude Desktop an upload panel also opens inside the chat. The AI never reads the library all at once: it looks at 50 files at a time and keeps notes on what each one shows. Exclude any folder on the MCP page in the app, and say "switch to the Acme workspace" to work in another brand.

Setup

Connect it in under a minute

You need an Easy Reels account on Ultra or Foundation. The server address is the same in every app:

https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp

Any app with MCP support

  1. Find where your app adds MCP servers. It is usually called Connectors, Integrations, Plugins or MCP servers in the app's settings. Choose the option to add a custom or remote server.
  2. Paste the address. https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp, transport Streamable HTTP, authentication OAuth. There is no API key to copy.
  3. Sign in and allow. The app opens Easy Reels in your browser. Sign in with your account and choose Allow. The connection starts in your Default workspace.
  4. Ask for a video. Turn Easy Reels on in the chat and describe the video. The finished MP4 lands in the app, in My Generations and on the MCP page.

Claude Code

Run this once in your terminal, then type /mcp in Claude Code and sign in to Easy Reels:

claude mcp add --transport http easyreels https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp

Claude Code uploads files from your computer itself, so you can say "make a reel from the clips in ./shoot" and leave it to it.

Cursor, VS Code and apps with a config file

Many editors and agents read MCP servers from a JSON file. Add this entry, save, and sign in when the app asks:

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "easyreels": { "url": "https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp" }
  }
}

No API key: the app opens Easy Reels in your browser the first time and you choose Allow.

Step by step for your app

Pricing

Included in Ultra

Ultra is $39 a month or $390 a year, and Foundation is Ultra for life at $279 once. Easy Reels MCP comes with both, alongside unlimited brand spaces, batches of 50, 20 GB of storage and your own fonts and LUTs. Every account starts with a 14-day free trial: nothing is charged until it ends, and you can cancel before then.

FAQ

Questions, answered

What is Easy Reels MCP?

An MCP server that lets the AI you already use edit your own clips and photos into finished videos. You connect it once, describe the video in the chat, and the AI writes the edit while Easy Reels renders it into an MP4 with the same fonts and filters as the app. It works in Claude, ChatGPT and any other app that supports MCP.

What is MCP?

The Model Context Protocol, an open standard that lets AI apps use outside tools. Easy Reels is one of those tools: any app that can add an MCP server (Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor and others) can connect to it with the same address, https://mcp.easyreels.io/mcp.

Do I need an API key?

No. You paste the address, the app sends you to Easy Reels to sign in, and you click Allow. That is the whole setup. You can disconnect an app at any time from the MCP page in the app.

Which plan do I need?

Ultra or Foundation. Every Easy Reels account starts with a 14-day free trial of the plan you pick, so you can connect it and try it before anything is charged.

What footage can the AI use?

Everything in the workspace it is connected to, minus what you exclude on the MCP page in the app. It never reads it all at once: it looks at 50 files at a time and keeps notes on what each one shows, so the next chat starts with them. Upload new footage in the app, or in the panel that opens in the chat where the app supports it.

Can it use my Easy Reels templates?

Yes. The AI can list your templates, build new ones, change their layers, audio and filters, add copy, and generate from them: one video or carousel, or a batch of up to 50 into a folder in My Generations. It asks before a batch, before deleting a template and before removing copy.

Does it need music or a template?

No. The AI writes a new edit for every video: the order of the scenes, the cuts, the transitions and the text. Music is optional, and so is sound at all.

Can it cut the right part of a long video?

Yes. Before it cuts, it looks at frames from the video with their timestamps and at a transcript of what is said, then trims to the part you described.

What do I get back?

An MP4 in 9:16, 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, up to 3 minutes long. Videos land in My Generations and on the MCP page in the app, and in Claude a player shows them right in the chat.

Does it generate footage?

No. Nothing is invented. The AI edits the footage, photos and music you give it, and the video is rendered from those files.

Where do I get help?

Write to support@easyreels.io. Say which app you are connecting from and what you saw, and we will sort it out.

Describe it. Post it.

Your footage, your fonts, your filters. The AI does the editing.
