'Looks amateur' feels like a judgement about taste. It usually is not — it is six mechanical faults, and viewers register them without being able to name them.
1. The cuts miss the beat

2. Shots are held too long
A clip that runs four seconds in a 20-second video has taken a fifth of the attention budget. Unless something changes within it, cut. Every second beat at 120 BPM gives each shot a second — enough to read, short enough to keep moving.
3. Text sits under the interface
The bottom 420 pixels and the right 180 belong to the platform. Text there is covered by the caption and the buttons on some phones and not others, which is worse than being covered everywhere — you cannot see the fault on your own screen.
4. The typeface changes
Nothing breaks a feed faster. Three videos in one font and a fourth in another reads as a different account. This happens because the text is retyped per video instead of being a saved layout with the words left blank — see reusable text overlays.
5. The filter is at 100%
Skin goes orange, shadows go flat, and the look wears out by the third video. Sixty to eighty per cent is where a grade reads as intentional rather than as a filter.
6. There is no handle on screen
A viewer who watches three of your videos and never sees your @ has learned nothing they can act on. Small, low, same place every time. It costs nothing and it is the element with the longest payback.
